I think we have established that any kind of regular post is somewhat beyond me at the moment. The one plus point of such long gaps is that it gives me more time to accumulate things to talk about!

Summer has progressed to the point of threatening to be autumn, I was shocked to discover all the convenience stores in Tokyo are stocking all the autumn foods. Gone are the times when the seasons were decided by the weather or the light, now it`s the snack makers that decide for us! In protest I am eating only ice cream but I`ve got a feeling the only person who will notice is my boy when I crush his with my giant, ice cream fattened arse! Not a bad idea...

I have hit a block with my pictures, it happens every so often. I go through a period of massive productivity and then tail off for a month or so into "lazy-pants land". Giving it a cute name doesn`t make it seem so bad, maybe. I find the solution to this is to search through my hard drive for photographs that I have forgotten about. It never ceases to amaze me how much one little picture can prompt you to remember, take the picture with this blog for example. I took it at some nameless rabbit warren of a subway station on my way to a meeting with the chief translator of a market research company. I can tell you that the meeting wasn`t pleasant but the wandering afterwards was. I like this picture, the CCTV camera pointing at the guy, the man in the distance. It is very easy to take these kinds of pictures in Tokyo but you do end up with a lot of pictures of people with no faces.

Right, So I started off with the best intentions then thought too much about what to write and didn`t write anything. Balls.

Let us forget all of that.

Recently I have become obsessed with all things nail art related. I have always loved playing about with my nails but this time I have decided to go the whole hog and buy a full pro-nail kit. It`s been years since I "acrylicd" (wow I invented a new word) my nails but what the hell, it`s time to start having fun!

The photography work is going well although I have left the management agency I was with as they were pretty annoying and picky about everything, even about blogs and such. Going it on my own will be more fun plus I will be doing it with my lovely man who is also a freelance photographer.

I have a week off from work now so it`s going to be (cheap) adventures all round, will keep you posted. In the meantime, enjoy the picture.

Oh Spring has finally come to my darkened living-room with southern facing veranda - although no light gets in due to the surrounding buildings being somewhat bigger than mine.

Anyway, just to confuse things I have put a picture taken in Summer in Yoyogi Park in Tokyo. Seeing as I like Spring so much I don't eem to have any photographs of it. I decided to not spend the day in bed and made an effort to get up which was quashed by the fact that my boyfriend managed to sleep in until 2pm. Maybe I'll get brownie points for trying. We ended up wandering around the neighbourhood in search of adventure but instead ate a jacket potato. Less exciting but fun none-the-less.

This is going to turn into another meandering post if I am not careful so I will get to the point. Japanese techno group Perfume! Why? Because it's fun and it's Spring and you can't keep listening to the same album again and again.

Mum's going to hate me for this!

Anyway, today was my boyfriends birthday. Happy birthday to him which, in hindsight would have been a good thing to scan and put up instead of sleepy mum but you can't expect me to think of everything.

I guess as I begin to get back into the swing of blog things I should kind of "reintroduce" myself to the inernet worlds as it has been a long time since I was last here and a lot has change. I am 26 now, live in Tokyo with my Japanese boyfriend. I work as an English teacher (although my grammar and spelling is awful), a translator and last but not least a photographer. Well, I am a photographer but I don't get paid so I don't work as such...I take pictures, make books, sometimes get some money (soooometimes) but first and foremost I am just happy taking pictures. Maybe it is something I will always do and maybe oneday I could make money or I could stop and still make some money selling my cameras, it's a win-win situation!

So, this will probably be a lot of ramblings about pictures and things that I like, or not. If you like that kind of thing then by all means come and read it but if not, no worries, it's nice having my own warm little niche back in the internet world, makes it seem like a much biiger place.

It's been a while

It's been a hell of a long time since I last blogged, about 4 years to be precise. I guess I had too much going on what with moving to Tokyo, splitting up with one person only to find someone else. I have been happy now for a while which will make blogging a lot easier as I have less to moan about!

Anyway, stay patient a little longer and I PROMISE I will be less lax and more proactive in this world we call "The Internet".
